Easter bonnets were fashionable Wednesday at the Tahlequah Senior Citizens Center as attendees celebrated with an Easter bonnet contest, egg hunt, and camaraderie. Many shared a favorite Easter memory as they enjoyed lunch, and some recalled experiences in countries where they served as missionaries or while in the military. Faye Wiseley won the Easter bonnet contest, followed by Lillian Robbins, Bob Ferland, and Fayrene Brownell. For Wiseley, Easter is a day for family. `We always tried to get together,` Wiseley said. `We always had a big meal.` One of her favorite foods was caramel dumplings an aunt made.
